From the team behind the acclaimed Asian-inspired, wood-fired restaurant Noko (named Yelp's Best New Restaurant in the South 2024) comes Kase x Noko, a 14-seat omakase that offers an intimate and approachable dining and imbibing experience. Tucked into East Nashville’s Eastwood neighborhood, Kase x Noko will officially open its doors tomorrow, Friday, December 13, 2024.

The Menu

At Kase, guests can indulge in a 90 minute, 14-course tasting menu ($75 per person) crafted by Executive Chef/Partner Owner Dung “Junior” Vo, featuring a rotating selection of nigiri, hand rolls, and other Japanese-inspired dishes made with seafood flown in daily from Japan, Hawaii, Spain, New Zealand, and beyond. Chef Vo not only helms the Kase kitchen but also plays a large role in designing and glazing the restaurant's plateware alongside the team at Nashville pottery studio, Zane Ceramics.

The Bar

Guests can begin or end their experience at Tennessee’s smallest bar, The Bar at Kase—an intimate four-seat Japanese cocktail lounge inspired by Tokyo’s iconic watering holes of the past. Walk-in only, the bar boasts a carefully curated selection of whiskey, sake (including exclusive labels only available at Kase), and Japanese-inspired cocktails including the Princess Ichigo, Letter from the Emperor, and Kyoto Garden. A thoughtfully designed nonalcoholic beverage program rounds out the menu.

The Space

The design of Kase x Noko is a modern interpretation of Wabi-Sabi, blending serene natural elements with a moody sophistication. Designed by The Restaurant Studio, the space features handmade ceramic tiles, locally sourced woods, and layered textures. Art plays a vital role in the space, with classic Gyotaku (Japanese fish printing) by Dwight Hwang and vintage photography of 1970s Tokyo lining the walls.

Beyond its culinary and aesthetic appeal, Kase reinforces the team’s commitment to employee betterment and community support. Employees enjoy perks such as a yearly travel stipend, two weeks of paid vacation, online therapy access, a paid gym/yoga membership, health insurance, and more. Additionally, 1% of net profits are donated to the Nashville Children’s Alliance, supporting children who have experienced severe abuse.
